How do daily affirmations and mood check-ins work?
Glowy is built with a local-first, privacy-focused architecture.
- No login or sign-up: You never need to create an account, password, or provide personal credentials.
- On-device storage: Your daily affirmations, liked quotes, customized themes, personal notes, and mood check-in records are saved in your device's local storage.
- AI affirmations (optional, Glowy Pro): When you generate AI affirmations, your mood, your goal, and the text you type are sent through our server to an AI service (OpenRouter). The AI providers may store it and use it to improve their models. Your name is never sent, and the app asks for your permission first.
- Ads in the free version: The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, we ask for your consent first. You can change your choice in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- Your privacy comes first: We never sell your personal emotional reflections. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do subscriptions, free trials, and cancellations work?
Glowy offers both a free tier and an optional Glowy Pro subscription (Monthly and Annual plans).
- 3-Day Free Trial: The Annual plan comes with a 3-day free trial, giving you full access to unlimited affirmations, all theme packs, AI-assisted affirmations, and all widget designs.
- Billing & Renewal: Payments are processed securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled: on the App Store at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period, on Google Play before the end of the billing period.
- How to Cancel or Manage on iPhone or iPad: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your Name / Apple ID at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Glowy and choose Cancel Subscription.
- How to Cancel or Manage on Android: Open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Select Glowy and tap Cancel subscription.
How do I restore my purchase on a new or existing device?
If you got a new iPhone, restored your device from backup, or reinstalled Glowy:
- Open the Glowy app.
- Tap the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
- Tap "Restore Purchases".
Glowy will communicate securely with the App Store to re-activate your Glowy Pro subscription immediately. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID used for the initial purchase.
How do I add Glowy widgets to my iOS Home Screen?
Glowy includes Small and Medium Home Screen widgets so you can view uplifting thoughts without even opening the app:
- From the Home Screen, touch and hold any empty area or app icon until the apps jiggle.
- Tap the + (Add) button in the upper-left corner.
- Scroll down or type "Glowy" in the search bar.
- Swipe to select either the Small or Medium widget format.
- Tap Add Widget, then tap Done.
Tip: Widgets refresh automatically throughout the day with your favorite categories!
How do I request a refund?
Because Apple handles all App Store billing and payment transactions directly, developers cannot issue refunds on Apple's behalf.
To request a refund from Apple:
- Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
- Select "I'd like to..." → "Request a refund".
- Choose the reason and select Glowy from your purchased items.
